Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) is three years full-time degree course conducted under the affiliation of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal(MAKAUT), .This course is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

This department offers education at the undergraduate-level to build foundation in the areas of computer science and its application. Seminars, workshops, talks and other interactive sessions with experts are conducted on a regular basis for enhancing the knowledge about modern tools and technologies.

Job Opportunities in Information Technology (IT) Sector- BCA graduates have good scope in jobs as a Web Developer, Web Designer, Network Administrator, Software Engineer, Database Administrator, Quality Assurance Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, Ethical Hacking, etc. The numerous companies, organizations, and MNCs offer these jobs to BCA candidates.
Government Jobs- Students are also eligible for government jobs after completion of BCA, as the minimum qualification to get a good government job is a graduation. Railways, bank, air force, navy, army and many more areas of government sector can also be explored.
Higher Study –Students may pursue higher studies in the field of Computer Application and Management. Master of Computer Application (MCA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) and many other professional courses may be chosen as per aspiration.
Self-employment- Self-employment can be another career option as BCA students may choose to become freelance or independent software developer, software security expert, consultant. Students may start their own company under the guidance of Entrepreneurship Awareness & Promotion Cell of the Institute.
